Heading north from our central Sri Lankan base at Kandy, our one day odyssey was to explore the temple caves of Dambulla.
And then on to climb the rock top fortress of Sigiriya, with its mysterious boobie women rock paintings.....
Even the torrential rain couldn't dampen our touristic intentions...
